Acting for Camera

Theatre Deli, Tower Hill, 8th Floor, Building 3, Thomas More Square, E1W 1YW
10 & 17 November · 6–9pm

Two-part Acting for Camera evening intensive, looking at simple techniques to bring responsive, uninhibited playing of scenes to screen work.

This is a session aimed at actors and performance artists with some experience already – if you are very new to acting, you may find it more useful to come to a more foundational class in the near future.

Actors will receive an edited, colour graded copy of their work at the end of the sessions.

About the Facilitators

Laurence is a performer, theatre-maker, and educator. He has taught and directed screen work on acting courses at several London drama schools, including at RADA, where he trained. His work is rooted in a truthful, embodied, moment-to-moment approach to performance.

Megan is a multi-disciplinary artist, originally from Aotearoa, New Zealand. Initially training as an opera singer, she went on to study acting, graduating from The Actor’s Program (NZ) in 2020. Since then she has been working across film, theatre and TV. Recent credits include Shortland St and upcoming feature film The Canyon. Alongside her work as an actor, Megan is also a photographer, specialising in both headshots and film stills. Her dual experience in front of and behind the camera has given her a unique perspective on screen acting and performance.
